Come along as I unbox not just one Hooks and Needles Subscription Box but two! One for crocheters and one for knitters. Let's see what goodies are inside!

You know what no crafter has never ever said, ever? I have too much yarn!

That’s why Hooks and Needles crochet and knit subscription boxes are perfect. Whether you are a crocheter or a knitter the Hooks and Needles subscription box has the perfect products for you!

Just a heads up, this post is sponsored, and I received the subscription boxes as a gift. I’m super excited to share my honest thoughts with you. As always, all opinions are my own. Your trust means the world to me!

Hooks and Needles sent me one each of their crochet and knit subscription box and I love them both. The colors of the yarns are absolutely beautiful. They compliment each other and the suggested patterns so well!

Want to watch me open each box in real time? Check out the full video here.

First I want to say how much I enjoyed the packaging. The box is pink and if you can’t tell by the colors here, I love pink. Receiving a pink package each month would just be the perfect pink-cherry on top of such a fun subscription box.

The materials in each box are great quality. The scissors are stainless steel and look like the vintage gold stork scissors. They’re the perfect size for throwing in your WIP back and, since they’re so pretty, they’d also make great photo props for your social media post pics.

The booklets are full color and great quality. The pictures are well lit and easy to understand. Plus they include helpful things like a glossary in the back to help you know and understand all the lingo.

The yarn, my goodness the yarn is to die for. The colors are rich and beautiful and then yarn is so squishy!

Let’s take a a look at what came in each box shall we?

Hooks and Needles Subscription Box- Crochet Box

Included in the crochet box is:

  • A beautiful wood handled crochet hook
  • 3 50g balls of yarn
  • Beautiful, full-color pattern booklet
  • Pack of 3 tapestry needles
  • Pair of golden stork scissors
  • Poly-fill (for the bunny pattern)

The yarn in this box is absolutely amazing. It is a luxurious blend of 97% Merino Wool and 3% Viscose. Hooks and Needles teamed up with a Portuguese artisan supplier and created in exclusively for their boxes! I received 2 colors, one is a speckled country blue color called Dark Blue 19 and the other is a speckled light grey color called Grey 01.

Hooks and Needles Subscription Box- Included Yarn

The three crochet patterns (yes I said THREE) included in this box are

  1. Sailor’s Knot Headband
  2. Rabbit Lovey
  3. Woven Storage Basket

Each pattern includes a crochet difficulty level scale, cleverly illustrated with yarn balls. The Sailor’s Knot Headband for example is listed as beginner and is 2 out of 5 yarn balls. Also included with each pattern is a QR code that will take you to the digital version of the PDF. This is great for those who like to store their patterns on digital devices.

Now let’s look at the knit box.

Hooks and Needles Subscription Box- Knit Box

Included in the knit box is:

  • A double pointed knitting needle
  • A 2 pack of circular knitting needles
  • 3 50g balls of yarn
  • Beautiful, full-color pattern booklet
  • Pack of 3 tapestry needles
  • Pair of golden stork scissors
  • 2 little buttons

The yarn in this box is just as beautiful as the yarn in the crochet box. This yarn is 100% Unshrinkable Extrafine Merino Wool made in Italy. I received three beautiful colors Mustard Yellow 214 (which is more of a light orange color), Ivory 402 and Lavender Mist 213.

Hooks and Needles Subscription Box- Included yarn

The 3 patterns in the knit book are

  1. Sunset Swirl Tote
  2. Mug Cozy
  3. Gradient Scarf

The knit patterns also come with yarny difficulty level scale, making it easier to start with the pattern that best fits your ability level. My knitting ability level is currently zero out of 5 yarn balls.

Just like the crochet patterns booklet, the knitting booklet also includes QR codes to each of the 3  included patterns.

Over all I give the Hooks and Needles subscription boxes 10 out of 10 yarn balls! The quality is amazing, the patterns are beautiful and the yarn is absolutely luxurious.

This is such a fun way to try out new yarns and new crochet patterns each month!
